Florian Philipp

Florian started Viruni Capital Partners in 2018 with the mission to leverage on project finance and direct investment experience in the energy and infrastructure space providing value add advisory beyond standard M&A/ corporate finance services with a focus on emerging markets.
Prior to that, he worked with Deutsche Bank, Erste Group Bank and Macquarie in the field of renewable energy and infrastructure respectively. Next to being an experienced PE investor, Florian successfully restructured a portfolio company as the CEO in New York.
Florian has more than 20 years of work experience in investment banking institutions in Vienna, Frankfurt, London and Dubai in various positions, among other things having built up two renewable energy investment teams from scratch and leading the respective institution’s investment cycle in full.
Florian is experienced in the execution of infrastructure and renewable energy projects in Europe and Africa. Next to energy transactions he gained infrastructure deal experience in the airports, roads and the industrial sector space.
He obtained a Masters Degree from the University of Business Administration, Vienna, specializing in Corporate Finance and International Tax Law. Florian is a native Austrian speaking German and English.
