Combined Heat and Power Plants

Co-generation (cogen) through combined heat and power (CHP) is the simultaneous production of electricity with the recovery and utilization of heat. Cogen is a highly efficient form of energy conversion and it can achieve primary energy savings of up to 40% compared to the separate purchase of electricity from the national electricity grid and a gas boiler for onsite heating. The sector offers opportunities in developing, upgrading and divestment of power plants to both our investors and industrial customers such as steel mills, petro-chemical plants and pulp and paper mills.
